Our office is ready and able to assist Indiana County property owners navigate the countywide tax reassessment. The last countywide reassessment was in 1968 and  homeowners may be surprised by their updated tax assessment.

Property owners in Indiana County will receive their change of assessment notices on or before July 1, 2015. The reassessment establishes the fair market value of a property as of January 1, 2015 and the new tax rate will be effective on January 1, 2016. If your Change of Assessment Notice is incorrect or flawed we are here to help you appeal it. Property owners will have 40 days from the date of their Change of Assessment Notice to schedule an informal review or to file an appeal.

Contact our office today to schedule an in office consult. Our office will help you determine the value of appealing your change of assessment and will help you plot a course of action that will best serve you and your family or business. If an appeal is necessary we will guide and assist you through the steps. If you are unhappy with the outcome of your appeal we will help you appeal through the Indiana County Court of Common Pleas. Some property owners are eligible for the Clean and Green program or Homestead tax exclusions. Our office can assist you with the applications for those programs.

We have the experience necessary to help you appeal your change of assessment.
